The Tub Hub
Humans are not telepathic

While soaking in the tub—a setting usually associated with relaxation and reflection—this podcast takes a deep dive into the multifaceted topic of HELP. We explore what it means to give, receive, and sometimes even resist help, in all its forms. Whether it’s professional, creative, emotional, or personal, the act of seeking or offering help can be one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences we go through.

In our eighth episode, I had the pleasure of catching up with my good friend Cory Wharton-Malcolm., a true creative force and someone I’ve shared a lot of experiences with over the years. Cory and I cover a wide range of topics, from our creative processes to how we first met and formed our unique relationship. We delve into mental health, something both of us feel strongly about, and how important it is to acknowledge when we need support—whether in our personal lives or our careers. We also touch on his industry and the pressures that come with it, and for a bit of fun, we even get into telepathy and how sometimes, without even realising it, we seem to just know when someone is struggling or could use a helping hand.

The core of our conversation, though, is about ASKING FOR HELP. It’s such a simple idea, but it’s one of the hardest things to do for many of us. Whether it's pride, fear of being vulnerable, or just not knowing where to turn, asking for help can feel daunting. Cory and I reflect on how both of us have navigated those moments in our lives and careers when we had to put our hands up and say, “I need support.”

This podcast isn’t just a conversation between friends; it’s for anyone who’s ever found themselves in that position of needing help, whether they asked for it or not. It’s for those who’ve struggled with reaching out, and for those who have offered help without expecting anything in return. So, if you’ve ever been in either camp—or both—this episode is for you.

Tune in, have a listen, and let us know what you think.
