Working closely with The Online Gallery team, we ensured that our design choices reflected the essence of each piece of content. Each section of the magazine was crafted to encapsulate the identity of the featured artists. Through carefully considered choices in colour, typography, and layout, we created a cohesive aesthetic that not only engaged readers but also guided them through the content in a seamless, visually compelling way.
In addition to the digital platform, The Online Gallery produces a quarterly art book—a unique space celebrating the work of cultural game-changers and emerging creatives from across the globe. This physical publication allows readers to immerse themselves in the content without distraction, offering a more intimate connection with the artists and their stories.
The gallery's goal is to provide an environment that nurtures the voices and perspectives that shape our society while amplifying the communities they represent. By featuring influential artists such as Hank Willis Thomas, Pat Stier, Nick Cave, Mickalene Thomas, Derrick Adams, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Radcliffe Bailey, Ming Smith, Kent Kelly, Alex Delotch Davis, Cam Kirk, Fahamu Pecou, and Patrick Church, The Online Gallery serves as a platform that celebrates innovation and cultural relevance in the creative world.
My collaboration with The Online Gallery founder and editor Ché Morales began during my time in New York. Ché is deeply passionate about supporting artists and communities. We often spent weekends attending shows and events, and I’ve always appreciated his unique insights into the art scene. His drive to uplift emerging talent has been a key force behind the success of The Online Gallery, ensuring it remains a meaningful and dynamic platform for creatives everywhere.
