Titled Ode to Ayrshire, the design returns to the brand’s roots — celebrating the landscapes and craft behind its iconic tartan while reinterpreting them for today.
At the centre is a three-dimensional grid system, translating Barbour’s tartan sett into a walkable structure. This modular framework — Woven Pathways — transforms the fabric into an immersive retail environment that scales across spaces.
The Gold execution anchors the concept, featuring a central sett structure, suspended tartan rolls and a bold 3D logo, softened by native planting. Inside, storytelling and product displays sit alongside a customisation area, encouraging interaction and personalisation.
Additional touchpoints include a photo moment set against an Ayrshire backdrop and a gallery of campaign imagery paired with tactile tartan displays.
Throughout, tartan becomes all-encompassing — from furniture to a wrapped Land Rover Defender — elevating the pattern into sculptural centrepieces.
The result is a cohesive retail experience that transforms Barbour’s heritage into a physical, immersive expression of the brand.
