Back in Spring 2003, we launched a bespoke campaign for Nike featuring Rio Ferdinand, who at the time was the most expensive player in the world. The campaign, titled "Everywhere at Once," focused on Rio’s dominance on the pitch—making him seem omnipresent and impossible to pass. The idea was simple: connect Rio’s footballing excellence with Nike’s product excellence.
       But here’s the thing: sports action photography wasn’t really a thing back then, at least not in the way we see it now. So, I took a different approach and brought in Doug Fisher, a performance car photographer. My thinking was, if Doug could capture a car doing 60mph and make it look good, he could absolutely handle Rio’s speed and agility on the pitch.
